This year, the VA Voluntary Service (VAVS) program is celebrating its 70th anniversary. Learn about the many ways Auxiliary members support veterans and this program by volunteering at VA Medical Centers by watching our latest video, “The Many Faces of Hospital Volunteers.” You’ll see members brightening the lives of veterans over the holidays and honoring them during National Salute to Veterans Week, and you’ll learn that there is no small job when it comes to giving back to our hospitalized veterans. Every volunteer role, whether it’s dispensing toiletries, refilling coffee, organizing a Spring Carnival or handing our handmade cards of appreciation, makes a big difference. We visited with these volunteers and some of the veterans they know and love in Kansas and Missouri. Watch the video to see their stories and speak with your Auxiliary's Hospital Chairman or visit the VA's Voluntary Service page online to learn how you can become a volunteer today!
